Tiny (aka Lisa Gray-Garcia) is a formerly unhoused, incarcerated poverty scholar, revolutionary journalist, poet, visionary, teacher and low-income single mama, the co–founder of POOR Magazine and Homefulness – a landless/homeless peoples solution to homelessness, and co-founded a liberation school for children in poverty, Deecolonize Academy. She has authored many books for adults and children including Criminal of Poverty: Growing Up Homeless in America, Poverty ScholarShip -Poor People Theory, Arts, words and Tears Across Mama Earth, How to NOT Call the poLice EVER and wrote, directed and acted in multiple theatre projects including WelfareQUEENS, Hotel Voices and PovertySkolaz
