Kim Shuck: Morning Prayer 2010
Poet Kim Shuck reads a supplication for all of the blessings of nature.
Kim Shuck is a silly protein. Shuck is also a poet, a visual artist, an arts organizer and an activist. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Shuck was the 7th Poet Laureate of San Francisco, now emerita. She is solo author of 8 books and has edited anthologies, chapthologies and the work of other poets. Kim’s latest book is Exile Heart a full-length poetry collection from That Painted Horse Press. Shuck has recently been involved in the Wall and Response project, poets responding to political murals in San Francisco’s Mission District.
