Pamela Villaseñor is Executive Advisor to the Office of the Tribal President for the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians. She is director of the Tribe’s Health and Social Wellness Department. A passionate champion for Native families, she has worked on violence prevention, cultural arts, economic development, and advocacy for the rights of the Tribe. She lives near her ancestors’ villages in the Tribe’s homeland of northern Los Angeles County, where she raises her daughter to gather and process traditional plants and foods.
