Kassandra Khalil is the Program Manager at Arts in a Changing America. Her interests in cultural organizing focus on visual arts engagement, cross-cultural, and cross-generational connection building. A visual artist, Kassandra’s drawings and sculptures explore how movement and gestures evoke personal and cultural memory. Concentrating on Caribbean communities and the culture of resistance while at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Kassandra channeled this interest into organizing arts programming for her Haitian Diasporan community in New York. She served at Brooklyn-based nonprofits Haiti Cultural Exchange as Program Coordinator from 2012-2014 and FiveMyles Gallery as Media Consultant from 2016-2017. Raised in Tampa, Florida, Kassandra now lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
