Judy Kibinge is a filmmaker who began her career in advertising. In 2013, she founded DOCUBOX, Sub Saharan Africa’s first homegrown fund for independent filmmakers creating a safe and inspiring space for documentary and short fiction filmmakers and providing grants, labs, screening and hugs to a growing community of talented storytellers. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures & Sciences since 2017 and sits on the Documentary Branch Executive Committee.
